Why Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Brendan Kishketon

HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Official Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt

4th Dan Black Belt, Taekwondo

Dr. Kishketon is a professor by day (PhD in Linguistics, tenured professor) and a Gracie jiu-jitsu instructor by night. He has over 20 years martial arts experience and began his Gracie jiu-jitsu journey over a decade ago in 2008 when he first learned of Royce Gracie who defeated big, scary opponents in the original UFC’s back in the early 90’s by the use of his family’s art, Gracie jiu-jitsu. Ever since then, Dr. Kishketon has devoted thousands of hours training on the mat to learn this amazing art (the “Gentle Art”) directly from the source.

Because of the overwhelming proven effectiveness of Gracie jiu-jitsu, Dr. Kishketon is passionate about sharing Gracie jiu-jitsu with everyone (men, women, and children) so that they may be empowered to defend themselves against bigger, stronger, and more athletic opponents in real-life altercations where there are no rules, no weight categories, no referees, and no time limits.
